This one might have been even more powerful if the dog had been peering down towards the mice, to make their fear even more imminent. But the rendering on the dog is so beautiful that it's an engaging illo regardless. Wonderful work!avwhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/03416099889208444101noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7076604.post-19866514461321008012010-07-11T07:02:33.720-04:002010-07-11T07:02:33.720-04:00this is such a sweet wonderful piece, I love how y...this is such a sweet wonderful piece, I love how you did the fur.Amy Chttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15944145361184009214noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7076604.post-81941868232960550712010-07-08T13:33:45.973-04:002010-07-08T13:33:45.973-04:00Sweet illo and story. Even as I was reading it, I kept thinking "what mice?" because I read the darker areas in the grass as the eyes and nose of a giant dog of the grass....and the "real" dog is standing on his head....I see the mice now. I have a real hard time drawing my own dogs (they're black, not that that should make any difference), and I really like this one.Coreopsishttps://www.blogger.com/profile/03468751724163567889noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7076604.post-8708568308872794782010-07-06T07:56:21.376-04:002010-07-06T07:56:21.376-04:00Superbe!
